| Web Modernization Services |
| During initial deployment of VIRTEL Web Modernization, we: |
| |
|
Select a few 3270 application screens to serve as a pilot user interface modernization project |
|
Design and develop the new web-style navigation and workflow: for example using webpage tabs to replace a series of 3270 screens, and/or consolidating several 3270 screens into a lesser number of web pages |
|
Decide one by one what each 3270 field will be converted to - check box, drop down list, graphic calendar, etc, and jointly deploy VSR to implement the field conversion |
|
Decide of the addition of new user interface features using AJAX and other technology, for example collecting mainframe or server based data to automatically make data entry suggestions (“suggest”), or to automatically complete some fields with known data (“auto-complete”), etc |
|
Define and develop the web presentation standards: typically a reuse of existing such standards and of the associated web code components such as CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) |
|
Organize the fields within the webpage using HTML and JavaScript programming together with VIRTEL’s own scripting language |
